Haircuts in Fresno

A cut should still look good on a Tuesday morning when you've got eight minutes and no intention of picking up a round brush. That's the bar I aim for.

Let's start with your hair, not a photo

Bring the inspiration picture — genuinely, I want to see it. But the picture is the starting point of the conversation, not the end of it. The person in it has their own density, texture, growth pattern and face shape, and the odds that they match yours exactly are slim.

So we'll talk first: how your hair actually behaves, how much time you're willing to spend on it in the morning, whether you own a diffuser and whether you'd ever use one. Then we find the version of that cut that works on your head. That conversation is the difference between a haircut you love for six weeks and one you're pinning back by day three.

Cuts I do most

Long layers

Movement without losing length. The most-requested cut I do, and the easiest to get wrong — too few layers and it's a triangle, too many and the ends go wispy.

Blunt cuts

One clean line. Makes fine hair read thicker and heavier than it is, which is why it's the go-to when someone says their hair feels thin at the ends.

Curtain bangs & face-framing

The low-commitment way to change your whole look. They grow out into face-framing layers instead of an awkward stage, which is the real reason they've stayed popular.

Curly & textured cuts

Cut with your curl pattern in mind, because curly hair shrinks and a cut that looks right wet can sit completely differently once it dries.

The big chop

Bobs, lobs, and "I've been thinking about this for a year." We'll talk it through properly before the first cut — no one should be talked into six inches in a hurry.

Dusting & maintenance

Growing it out but the ends look tired? We take the minimum needed to tidy them up and keep your length.

How often should you come in?

It depends far more on your cut than on your hair:

  • Short cuts and bobs — every 5 to 8 weeks. The shape is the whole point, and it's the first thing to go.
  • Layered mid-length — every 8 to 12 weeks to keep the layers doing their job.
  • Long hair you're growing out — every 3 to 4 months, just enough to keep the ends from splitting upward.
  • Bangs — a trim every 3 to 4 weeks. Come in for it; bangs are where at-home trims go wrong fastest.

Common questions

Should I wash my hair before I come?

Day-old hair is ideal. Clean enough to work with, settled enough that I can see how it actually falls. Don't arrive with it straightened flat if you normally wear it curly — I need to see the real thing.

Is a wash included?

This is the cut on its own. If you'd like the full shampoo, cut and style, book cut, wash and style instead.

Can I add color to the same appointment?

Yes, and it's usually the better order — color first, then cut, so the shape is finished around the finished color. Message me and we'll book the time as one longer visit rather than two separate ones.

What if I don't know what I want?

That's a completely normal way to arrive. Bring what you don't like about your hair right now — that tells me more than a photo does.
