Expecting more than twelve children? Message me before booking and we'll work out timing, because twelve faces in two hours is a comfortable pace and twenty is not.
How it works on the day
I set up in one spot and the kids come to me, which works far better than chasing them around a yard. All I need is a small table, two chairs and somewhere out of direct sun if it's a Fresno summer afternoon — paint and children both do better in shade.
Each design takes a few minutes. Most kids know exactly what they want before they sit down; the ones who don't usually choose whatever the last child had. A queue forms, it moves steadily, and parents get a genuine half hour to talk to each other.
What gets requested
Butterflies and superheroes are perennial. Beyond that it moves with whatever film came out that year — tell me the party theme when you book and I'll come prepared for it.
Common questions
What if a child doesn't want their face painted?
Then they don't get their face painted. An arm or the back of a hand is a popular compromise, and plenty of children who said no at the start come back once they've watched someone else go first.
How does it come off?
Soap and warm water. A little baby oil or micellar water helps with stubborn darker shades around the hairline.
What about sensitive skin or allergies?
Let me know in advance if any child has sensitive skin or known allergies. I'd also skip painting over eczema, broken skin, cold sores or sunburn — better to do a hand or arm design instead.
Can you come to a school or community event?
Yes — school fairs, church events, fundraisers and company family days all work. Message me with numbers and timing and we'll size it properly rather than squeezing a hundred kids into a standard booking.
